Originals [wenatchee art + design]

I've been in search of a venue to sell some of my original pieces and I think I've found one. The site dailypaintworks.com allows artists to list originals with either a set price OR a unique auction format. I've enjoyed listing several items and imagine it's fun to bid on your favorites. It's a wonderful site that features a wide variety of art and artists who, like myself, paint on an almost daily basis, so there are always new pieces. I'll probably always link to the prints here on the website/blog, rather than the originals, because the prints will always be available, where as the originals only until sold. If you're ever interested in something and can't find the version you want, please email me from the Reach Out > Contact link above and I'll do my best to help.

Here are a few of my latest pieces:

Whimsy [Wenatchee design + photography]

Had a wonderful comment on some of my recent floral watercolors at FineArtAmerica.com. Was told I had a "beautiful and whimsical style" and I thought "what an awesome thing to hear about myself." Whimsical: playfully quaint or fanciful, especially in an appealing and amusing way. I like that my work makes me smile and I hope it does you too. So, if whimsy it is, I'll take it!

Mixed Bag [Wenatchee design + photography]

Can you feel the change of seasons? It's subtle because it's still warm outside, but the mornings are a little crisper, the nights a little longer and everyone seems to be holding on to the last of summer just as long as they can. I started hiking my favorite hills again, now that it's cooler. Also, I was trying to get over plantar fasciitis and used it as a reason to take the summer, and it's heat, off. So far so good, my heels aren't bothering me TOO MUCH. Enjoyed painting this weekend as well, ending up going in several different directions, which suits me just fine.

I hope these samples help you picture how beautiful art can transform a space. Everything I sell is available here.

Pacific state of mind [Wenatchee design + photography]

A few from this summer that I never posted. These all came from the 100 Days of Art project I committed to (and finished!) I really love the ocean, it soothes me, and I am a west coast girl for sure. The Pacific, she calls to me, both while dreaming and awake.
